Transportation

Transportation is provided to our patients at no charge with attention to safe and responsible drivers. Parental permission and authorized signatures are required when the child is returned to his or her home following treatment. Provision of transportation greatly enhances the “show” rate which in turn increases the rate of progress for the child in treatment.

Medical Transportation Program

Purpose

To provide transportation assistance to families whose children are enrolled in the Medicaid program. The transportation program may provide funds for travel expenses, meal assistance or lodging reimbursement.
Who to call

. Provide the following: •Your child’s Medicaid number
•Your social worker’s name and phone number
•Date, time and purpose of your appointment
•If your child is coming for a clinic visit, notify them of the date and time of your visit. (You must call two days prior to your visit.)
• If your child will be admitted and you live outside of El Paso County, request both travel and meal reimbursement assistance.
•Lodging assistance is available to parents whose children will be admitted to the ICU or who will need to remain in town for further evaluation on an out-patient basis.
